Hearts Apart Deployment Support Group Counseling Program
This elementary school counseling small group counseling curriculum is designed for upper elementary aged students dealing with the deployment of a military loved one. The group spans over 10 sessions and focuses on the following:
❤️Creating a safe space to discuss feelings relating to deployment
❤️Discussing personal experiences of being a military child
❤️Learning about locus of control and identify things that we can and cannot control
❤️Identifying supports in the family, school, and community
❤️Practicing anxiety management techniques
❤️Promoting supportive relationships within the group
