This elementary school counseling classroom guidance lesson uses a hands-on STEM challenge to demonstrate the importance of kindness for strong communities. Students work together to build "camp cabins" using pretzel sticks and mini marshmallows and then create their own paper cabin that describes kind acts they can engage in to build a strong classroom community.

Includes lesson plan (objectives, outline/script, materials list, ASCA standards alignment, suggested process, perception, and outcome data), pre-test/post-test, student handout, and objectives assessment checklist. Additional materials needed: pretzel sticks and mini marshmallows.
