This elementary school classroom guidance lesson reviews the meaning of self esteem and ways to proactively improve self esteem! Use one inflated and one deflated mini beach ball (or balloons!) for a self esteem demonstration and then use a ready-to-show PowerPoint to discuss ways to improve self esteem. Students move through 4 centers and make a palm tree craft to practice making personal goals, creating affirmations, generating lists of skills, and identifying enjoyed movement-based activities.

Includes lesson plan (objectives, outline/script, materials list, ASCA standards alignment, suggested process, perception, and outcome data), pre-test/post-test, ready-to-show PowerPoint, center visual aids, student handouts, and objectives assessment checklist.
