Anxiety & Depression Lesson Activities: These activities are intended to introduce middle school students to anxiety and depression. Students complete a myth vs fact activity to begin a discussion to dispel myths about both. Then, students learn more about the signs and symptoms of anxiety and depression and next steps for reaching out for help (please note: treatment methods are not discussed in these activities). Then, students learn more about statistics relating to anxiety and depression by playing a fun, 2-team card game. These activities are great for middle school classroom guidance lessons or small group counseling activities.
