Growth Mindset Classroom Guidance Lesson for Elementary School Counseling
This classroom guidance lesson introduces students to the process of growing a pineapple and relates this to growth mindset! Students practice reframing fixed mindset statements as a whole group and then as a small group. In small groups, students identify their own fixed mindset statements and work together as a group to reframe these statements into growth mindset statements.
Includes lesson plan (objectives, outline/script, materials list, ASCA standards alignment), pineapple printables, optional handout (makes great bulletin board display!) objectives assessment checklist, editable and ready-to-show PowerPoint presentations on growth mindset, and optional individual student handout.
