Inferring Emotions/Feelings Classroom Guidance Lesson for School Counseling

  • $1.25

This classroom guidance lesson gives students the opportunity to practice both identifying and demonstrating emotions using body language, facial expressions, and words. Students discuss potential emotions others based on provided photos and then participate in a fast-paced guessing game in which they act out emotions for their peers.

I use this lesson with 6th grade, but it is appropriate for grades 5-6. Includes lesson plan (objectives, outline, materials list, ASCA standards alignment), visual aids, objectives assessment checklist, and optional PowerPoint slides.
