Prioritization Counseling Lesson - This classroom counseling lesson plan will help students in grades 5-6 understand what it means to prioritize and get them started with prioritizing their own to do lists! Students will differentiate between "must do" and "want to do" tasks and then rank order their must do tasks.

A: You'll need pencils, glue, scissors, a clear jar or vase, and items of varying sizes (like big brick blocks and tiny brick blocks.

Q: How long will this take?

A: I did this lesson in a 45-minute block with my 5th grade students. All students are different. 

Q: Can I use this in small groups or with an individual student?

A: Absolutely!

Q: Can I use this in Google Slides?

A: Yes. Simply drag and drop the PPT file to your Google Drive.
