Emotion Matching Activities: Welcome to the Great Mitten Match Up! Build emotional vocabulary and emotion identification skills with these winter feelings matching activities. Four leveled activities are included, so you can use these emotion activities with all of your elementary school counseling students! In level 1, students match emotion words to emotion faces. In level 2, students read statements and infer emotions. In level 3, students complete "I feel... when..." statements. In level 4, students choose calming strategies that work for them when they experience specific emotions. Use these feelings matching activities for school counseling centers, individual counseling, or small group counseling activities to help students learn to recognize, name, express, and manage feelings.
