Healing Hearts Grief Recovery Group Counseling Program
Healing Hearts grief recovery group counseling program is designed to help students honor and celebrate the memory of lost loved ones. Students participate in several therapeutic art activities, complete an "I Remember" book, and participate in a balloon release to celebrate the lives of their loved ones. This group is not a psycho-educational group addressing the stages of grief, but is rather an activity-based group to help students express their grief and celebrate the memories they have of their loved ones. Use as a group counseling program or in individual counseling.
This product includes 8 group counseling session lesson plans, all necessary handouts, and an "I Remember" book to be used in 3 of the group sessions and weekly at home for reflection (also includes mandalas for students to color for grief expression). Additional materials needed: coloring utensils, various art supplies (ribbon, beads, paint, paintbrushes), clear plastic balls/ornaments, butcher paper/poster board, helium-filled balloons, and pinwheels.
