Community Helper Puzzles and Puzzle Mats - Elementary School Counseling - Career
This career development activity includes 27 community helper puzzles and 2 puzzle mats for students to describe what the community helpers do and how they help the community! These are perfect for small group activities, centers, lunch bunch, and more!
Suggested Use:
Centers: Place How Do I Help? mat in page protector (or laminate it) so students can write on mats with dry erase markers. Provide laminated puzzle pieces for 4-5 puzzles and allow students to assemble pieces on mats and describe community helpers and their roles.
Group Challenge: Divide students into groups of 3-4. Give each group puzzle pieces for 3-4 community helpers. Challenge groups to solve their puzzles, identify community helpers, and describe their roles father than the other groups!
Lunch Bunch: Allow students to solve laminated puzzles as they eat and discuss the ways in which community helpers help the community. These are a great jumping off point for student discussions on ambitions, goals, and the future!
